Dr. Carmen Mourão is a specialist in Periodontics and Oral Surgery. She graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Dental School, in 1980. Upon graduation she practiced at the dental clinic of the Rio de Janeiro Customs Officers Union, developing an innovative teamwork approach. In 1994, Dr. Mourão learned about the Branemark - Nobel Biocare implant technique. She obtained her credentials in prosthetic and surgical implantology, being trained respectively by the renowned professionals Dr. Carlos Eduardo Franciscone and Dr. Laércio W. Vasconcelos. Dr. Carmen is an enthusiast of the breakthrough innovations introduced by the Branemark - Nobel Biocare system, both in the scientific and technical fields. These advances are very significant for the dental professional and for the patients, giving them more choices of treatments. Dr. Carmen attends conferences and conventions regularly and stays current with the latest innovations endorsed by extensive and highly regarded research. Throughout the year she also takes continuing education courses and seminars in her field of specialty, Implantology, to expand her skills.
Dr. Esther Klein is a specialist in Cosmetic Dentistry and Oral Rehabilitation. She graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Dental School, in 1979. Her education focuses in General Dentistry and Rehabilitation. In the field of Oral Rehabilitation she was taught by Professor Waldir Janson, one of the most reputable teachers in Oral Rehabilitation in Latin America. In the early 90’s, with the advent of Cosmetic Dentistry as well as new materials and techniques, Dr. Esther became increasingly interested in Cosmetic Dentistry and found it to be her passion. Since then she has taken several courses and attended several conferences to keep current with the necessary skills and knowledge in this ever-changing field. The latest advances in Implantology also have led to new aesthetic and functional rehabilitation solutions. Dr. Esther is member of the Brazilian Society of Cosmetic Dentistry. After 21 years as a solo practitioner, she decided to start a group practice by integrating several specialties of dentistry in one location. In 2001, Multi Oral was created and it opened new horizons by introducing a global and innovative concept in dental care. At Multi Oral Dr. Esther found the perfect partnership for teamwork where the expertise of several dental professionals has helped to improve the overall results.
Dr. Ana Carolina Marques is a specialist in Orthodontics and in Pediatric Dentistry. She graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Dental School. As a student she practiced in the Emergency Department of the Municipal Hospital Lorenço Jorge as well as in SESC’s dental clinic. She concluded two post-graduate programs in the field of Pediatric Dentistry: a hands-on research project at UFRJ and a specialization course at PUC University. Dr. Ana Carolina specialized in Orthodontics after two years of post-graduate course at Veiga de Almeida University, where she emphasized her studies in the Edgwise technique.
While attending school she was constantly invited by her teachers to participate in scientific research and papers, and has attended several seminars and conferences to learn the latest in dental techniques and research. Dr. Ana Carolina joined Multi Oral in 2002, where she has had the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art dental practice offering specialized treatment for children, formed by a team of specialists that use an interdisciplinary approach.
Dr. Anelise Valente is a specialist in Endodontics. She graduated from Gama Filho University, Dental School, in 1998. She earned a certificate of specialization in Endodontics from the University of São Paulo (USP), Dental School, one of the largest institutions in Brazil, located in Bauru, São Paulo. She was the student of the renowned Endodontics’ specialists, Dr. Márcia Carneiro Valera and Renato Leonardo, who have both written reference books on Endodontics for those looking into implementing their technical skills in this specialty.

Since the advent of the rotary instrumentation, Dr. Anelise has taken several courses to learn more about this technique. She has been taught by Professor Henrique Bassi, a recognized innovator of this technique. In 2004 she started her Masters program in General Dentistry with emphasis in Endodontics at Estácio de Sá University.
The renowned Professor Dr. Hélio Pereira Lopez directed her, and in November of 2006 she finished her thesis. In 2007 she joined the Brazilian Air Force where she serves as a general dentist and enjoys experiencing the discipline of the military system. Dr. Anelise believes discipline to be the key to her successful Endodontics career. Having worked with Endodontics for more than eight years, Dr. Anelise is an enthusiast of this specialty because the changes in biology research and the new technologies keep the dental profession very exciting. For Dr. Anelise it is rewarding to work in the field of Endodontics, where the unrelated areas of biology and technology become complementary.
Dr. Caroline Atkins is a Speech and Language therapist. She received her degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the Brazilian Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (IBMR), in 1999. She began her career in Vocal Rehabilitation immediately upon graduation. In 2003, she finished her specialization in Voice and received a title accredited by the Federal Council of Speech and Language Therapy (Conselho Federal de Fonoaudiologia). She also took courses in the field of Oral Facial Motricity. Dr. Caroline joined Multi Oral in 2005 and since then has provided care for our patients in the specialty areas of Speech Therapy and Oral-Facial Motricity. At Multi Oral she found a successful partnership with the field of Dentistry and enjoys working in a team environment, being able to achieve positive results in a short period of time.

During undergraduation at the Federal Fluminense University, Dr. Bárbara Ramos had awarded monographies, was a monitor, trainee of the Municipal de Health Department of Rio de Janeiro and a scientific initiation student in clinically relevant projects. She has presented and published a number of researches in scientific meetings. For her Master’s degree at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, she disserted with originality on high technology of dental restorative materials. Dr. Bárbara also concluded a post graduate course in prosthodontics (crowns and bridges), and nowadays is working on her Doctor’s degree at the same institution, in the context of evidence based dentistry.
